Georgia Medicaid · Participant-directed care
Can a family member get paid to care for an aging parent in Georgia?
Often, yes. If your parent is on a SOURCE or CCSP Medicaid waiver, you may be able to be paid as their caregiver — Joy Bridge Care handles the paperwork.
In Georgia, participant-directed Medicaid waivers (SOURCE for older adults, CCSP for adults with disabilities) let the participant choose who provides their care — including a family member. The catch: someone has to administer the payroll, file taxes, track timesheets, and stay compliant with Department of Community Health rules. That’s where Joy Bridge Care comes in. We’re a licensed Fiscal Intermediary (FMS) — we’re the “employer of record” on paper so families don’t have to figure out W-2s, Workers’ Comp, and DCH paperwork themselves.
What Joy Bridge Care helps with
- Participant-directed care administration
- Caregiver onboarding
- Payroll & tax-withholding support
- Timesheet & compliance support
- SOURCE / CCSP administrative support
What Joy Bridge Care does not do

- Provide emergency, nursing, or therapy care
- Guarantee Medicaid eligibility
- Approve waiver enrolment
Joy Bridge Care is a Georgia-licensed Private Home Care Provider (PHCP #044972) operating as Fiscal Intermediary for participant- directed Medicaid HCBS waiver programs (SOURCE / CCSP). We do not provide hands-on medical or personal care — we administer payroll, compliance, and caregiver onboarding so families can self-direct care from someone they already trust.
