Georgia Medicaid caregiver-pay programs — how to actually get paid

If your loved one is on SOURCE or CCSP and the care plan includes a participant-directed caregiver, Joy Bridge Care turns that approval into actual paychecks.

Approval letters from Department of Community Health don’t come with payroll attached. After the care plan is approved, a Fiscal Intermediary like Joy Bridge Care steps in to onboard the chosen caregiver as a W-2 employee, run payroll on Medicaid’s schedule, handle tax withholding, file the timesheets, and keep the compliance records DCH expects. Spouses generally can’t be paid caregivers under Georgia rules — but adult children, other relatives, and trusted family friends often can.

What Joy Bridge Care helps with

  • Participant-directed care administration
  • Caregiver onboarding
  • Payroll & tax-withholding support
  • Timesheet & compliance support
  • SOURCE / CCSP administrative support

What Joy Bridge Care does not do

  • Send caregivers to your home
  • Provide emergency, nursing, or therapy care
  • Guarantee Medicaid eligibility
  • Approve waiver enrolment

Joy Bridge Care is a Georgia-licensed Private Home Care Provider (PHCP #044972) operating as Fiscal Intermediary for participant- directed Medicaid HCBS waiver programs (SOURCE / CCSP). We do not provide hands-on medical or personal care — we administer payroll, compliance, and caregiver onboarding so families can self-direct care from someone they already trust.
